Hi everybody!

I think that's a custom weapon that can be made using the Fiddler.

And was a pre-BETA weapon up until Team17 decided it would be an intelligent idea to leave it out of the game not to hurt their middle east sales.

Hi PaReRa,

Run's right, you can have Wormstrikes with Fiddler. You can download Fiddler from the Wormsmart (http://maz.me.uk/wormsmart/) website, and also scheme files for Fiddler here (http://maz.me.uk/wormsmart2/). The demo scheme that comes with the program includes a Wormstrike weapon.

Note that Fiddler only works with version 3.0 of W:A (some download versions of W:A don't work with Fiddler), and requires a bit of setup. Help with this can be found on the Worms Knowledge Base (http://worms2d.info/The_Fiddler).

You don't have to pay for The Fiddler, but you do have to pay for your game! If you use a pirated copy, we can't offer you any support. You can order the game from the Team17 Store (https://secure.team17.com).

The Fiddler doesn't currently work with the latest WA update, though. At least, I don't think it does.

Incidentally it's not a custom weapon, rather a weapon that still exists in the WA game engine that Fiddler allows you to reactivate.

I believe The Fiddler works partly if someone forces there copy of W:A to emulate 3.0.0. I think the same can be said about Silkworm 3.50 etc.

That's precious.

Nah, this only applies to Silkworm.

Ho ho ho!

Seriously though, you shouldn't have thrown in on the one brain you and your friend share.

How do you force your copy to emulate as an older version copy?

CyberShadow

Why would you need that in the first place?

Squirminator2k

Because he wants to use Fiddler.

I would do it so that people can quit games without desyncing everyone.

Does OVG still work?

IIRC only for 3.6.28.0.

All of the above mentioned pretty good reasons.

Game emulates the oldest version a player in the game has.

Next time, read the knowledge base.

Emulating an older version will NOT allow you to use the Fiddler!
You need the exact WA.exe that the Fiddler was written to work with.
Also, I'm not sure emulating an older version will fix the desynchronization/quit bug.

Ed Webb already posted the link in his first post:
http://worms2d.info/The_Fiddler
This is currently the quickest and easiest way to get it to work, which also works online if you do it right.
