Black screen on XP with 800x600 and 1024x764 resultion

Hello guys!

So i got that problem here: My game works fine o 640x480 but i want to change cuz i dont see all things cuz the screen is too big. So i chnaged resulation to 1024x764. In-game i see nothing, a black screen appears and i have to use CTRL+ALT+DELETE. Okay, now i tried in 800x600 but the same happened, black screen! Well, if any1 know a tip or something to do with my game to be able using 800x600 and 1024x764 too.

Ohh, and i reinstalled windows some weeks ago so i got the latest graphics card driver i think.

it would be more easy for anybody to tell if u provide your system and graphic details as well. and do you remember the last time u updated ur graphic card drivers ?

And I assume you got the drivers from nvidia, not windows update?

anyone knows how to solve this problem ? i got the same ;/ i have reinstalled the game almost 20 times in 2 days... sometimes it works but just for 2-3 rounds and again blackscreen's ;/

my computer specification is:
Manufacturer: Gigabyte
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+ ~3.00GHz
Memory: 2048MB DDR2
Graphic Card: nVidia GeForce 7900GS by Galaxy 256MB

if you know how to solve this pls tell me cause i can't even patch the game (the polish patch says it can't recognise the version of wwp.exe ;/ and every other patch cant unpack 2 files and it says that i have to put CD in CD-ROM but the CD is already there... ;/ )

I think could be problem of graphic drivers... :S
or maybe athlonox 64 x2...

I have the same problem. In 640x480 is everything ok, but in 800x600 and 1024x768 = black screen, but I can hear the sounds of the game and I can also play it, but I see nothing. I have WinXP SP3, the latest patch, drivers, what would may have been the problem. Can somebody help.
