View Full Version : Worms 2 Purchase\Download?
K, I'm new. So, I'll start my question by answering questions, as on most forums, I assume you guys would like a little background:
There is a glass of Jagermeister between my keyboard and I
My computer is like a tiny god (see who gets the penny arcade reference ;) )
I knew what worms 2 was FAR before I knew what pubic hair was
Bueno? Bueno.
Now, I'm here in Hawai'i, with my girlfriend (who lives here), trying to explain to her the magnificence of worms 2, and I'm having trouble coming up with words.
I've found I can purchase the game for $5.99 from T17, but I need to have it shipped. Anyone know who Lewis Black is? "Sven, this is bullsh*t."
Is there anywhere where I can purchase Worms 2 via paypal, and just download the sucker? I'd pay $15 at least for it (of course, this is $15 American, which at this point, is worth... lemme do the calculations here, nothin percent of nothin, carry the nothin, about a bag of bird feed), IF I can find a place to download it!
Help!
There's this (http://www.trygames.com/game.php?aff=team17&vid=f4b1d37a0796d648a2f92c5e87ca1edd), but you won't find anyone on this forum recommend buying from Trygames; their ripoff prices are overshadowed only by their combined nonexistent support and ignorance toward updates. But I'm pretty sure their downloadable version of Worms2 at least works on modern computers, which is a lot more than can be said for their Worms Armageddon.
Personally I would much rather see you get the CD version of Armageddon, since it offers a much smoother experience with plenty of cool new features after you've updated to the latest ßeta version, plus a friendlier user interface, but if you're in a hurry... ;)

Yes. Everything else, no.
Would you WA *****es stop trying to recruit W2ers? He asked about Worms 2 man.
Out of interest, Badjuju, how much is shipping on the physical copy?
Good luck anyway, hope to see you online soon :)

There isn't much point in getting Worms 2. All the fun and delight has since been recounted a thousandfold by W:A.
He'd be able to re-live all the good times and have even MORE fun with the updates and things like WkRubberWorm.

I've never really been able to spot a difference in the rope physics, personally.
you bounce more and you have more control/speed when moving in a direction.
Worms 2 has better rope physics ;P
WA + Rubberworm has Worms 2 rope physics ;P
Or with pisto's memory injector, you can emulate test mode, w2 physics, etc.
pisto's what?? anyways, can you elaborate a bit more, Run, or are you talking about Test Stuff where you rope faster then the camera can scroll? because in worms 2, the camera stays locked onto you even when you go fast!

Yes, he is talking about teststuff but he chose to call it wKRubberworm to confuse us all.
Or you could use the search function to search for the term.
