Wine 1.0?

Has anyone tried W:A with Wine 1.0? If so, does it work? Do you need to do anything (eg hacked ddraw.dll etc)?

no it doesnt, i tried all from 0.9.59 rc1 till 1.1. maybe u can use one of the other patches.
i tried the 0.9.44 patch with 0.9.59 but this fails. i dont try around with the patches now, im fine with a wine 0.9.44 wrapper. on single patched wine for worms armageddon, thats the best you can do i think, because the old wine 0.9.44 works allmost nice.

other games are working great with newer wine versions.

there was a patch for a newer version of wine but this patch solves the little bug (i have only one bug with W:A and wine) with the frontend but it leads to inacceptable crashes.
