Also, I am still unable to use the forum's search function.

What version of Safari is that? And does this happen every time you view a page?

Also, what is the problem you're having with the search?

I posted the search problem about a year ago, every time I try to search it says something about the flood control and I have to wait 10 seconds to try again.

With the page corruption issue, I think it was posted a year or two ago by another forum member, and it is a random occurrence. After I got the corrupted page, everything seemed normal and the search function strangely started working again.

This is Safari 3.1.1, I also have had the problem on IE7 computers.

UPDATE:
Now that I am able to use the search function again, I found the original thread about the problem. (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=35234)

It is quite ugly, although you get all the screen space you want.

This happened to me at the tail end of last year. It used to happen on both my home computer (Firefox 2) and my work computer (IE6). It's not happened in a long time, though.

Ugly?
I'd call the brushed metal look "dull", but at least it's unobtrusive. Not like all those other browsers with their DISTRACTING COLORED BUTTONS!! :p

...ANYWAY...

I had a screen of when the forum royally screwed up once, what with replacing sections of images with text, but I have misplaced it. :(

Sounds like your mouse is double clicking when it should be single clicking. Try a different mouse.

I'm using Safari 3.1.1 and have never seen that happen. In fact, I've never seen that, ever. What happens if you reload the page when all the code shows up?

It does seem very strange that nobody else is experiencing this at the moment. Try switching to the Retro Purple Fluid skin using the skin selector at the bottom of any forum page and see if that corrects the problem.

With Purple Fluid, I had a situation in which a bunch of random "<="http:" was stuck before forum names on the board index, for example, <="http:WormNET 1 and 2.

I'm using Safari 3.1.1, same as you and OSX 10.4.11, same as you (you must be running that since the window is brushed metal - the Tiger skin, and Safari 3 requires 10.4.11), and I have never seen those bugs. Very strange...

Could be something getting screwed up at your end. Can you try a different computer on the same internet connection?
