View Full Version : Unable to restore after minimizing

CPU: AMD Duron, 800 MHz (8 x 100)

System Memory: 768MB RAM
Video Card / Driver Revision: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM) / 6.14.0010.5673 (English)
Sound Card / Driver Revision: VIA AC'97 / 6.14.0001.3900 (English)
DirectX Revision: DirectX 10
Nature of the problem: Game does not resume after minimizing, either from menu or in-game. When I try to resume I get a blank screen and I have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to close Worms Armageddon task.

Steps to recreate:
1. Minimize game.
2. Try to restore game.

It is a known issue with vista, the game has not been updated to work with vista so expect bugs like this.

Minimizing isn't 100% stable yet, in any OS.

As far as I can tell on my machine, I often can't restore after minimizing and instead get crashes when I have an IRC window of Miranda IM open.

So, closing as many programs as possible might help.

Minimizing isn't 100% stable yet, in any OS.

It should be, in-game. the front-end is still buggy though.

I always close all programs before running Worms Armageddon - especially instant messengers.

The only times it crashes on me in-game, is if I am minimized when a round ends and focus is placed on the frontend while I am minimized... It makes the game crash when I again, minimize. It does not matter what part of the game I am in.

There are no known bugs with in-game minimizing, except on some Vista machines.

In 3.6.29.0 I still can't unminimize game in menu. After unminimizing, I get normal menu screen, but clicking on any button makes no effect and I still have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to close Worms Armageddon.

I can close with Escape - I didn't know about that. Shift+Escape works too, but after unminimizing I get the same effect as with minimizing by clicking at the bottom of screen.
