Hmm...
I have missed every tournament in the last few years.
Guess that won't be the case this year.

Also, I like the Tibetan flag carried at the very front!
Watch out though, it's illegal in the People's Republic of China.

Do anyone have Walk for Weapons replay? I'd like to see how this mode (scheme) is played. There's no replay at worms2d.info and AI is cow and it doesn't obey rules ;)

For those, who think that my post is off-topic, see first scheme announced for Worm Olympics :)

Here's two tournaments from the 2006 Olympics [...]

Thanks, I've seen this site before (and watched replays other than WfW), but since 2008 edition is announced couldn't find it. There should be link at Worm Olympics site to previous editions IMO.

Edit:
Well, there is mysterious link at the Worms Olympics main page. It is called dethrone Wyv (http://wormolympics.com/2006/standings) and hidden at bottom.

You will not. History will tell the story of your failure.

Aaaand it's all over. Two months of proving that WormNet is still a damn active place, hungry for [lighthearted] competition.

South America is clearly a growing threat in the Wormiverse that will have to be reckoned with in the future. How those guys managed to play in this many tournaments is beyond me. On the other hand, some of the traditional Wormy nations have done exceptionally poorly, which saddens me somewhat. I'm looking at you, Australia, Canada and Norway. Also Dutchland and Sweden to some degree. Hopefully this was down to timezones and bad fortunes rather than a trend of all those great players of the past having lost interest in the game, although the situation looks quite bleak from where I'm standing. :(

In all, though, seeing this much activity was quite exciting. Hopefully the staffers will be able to recover in time for the winter incarnation of the Olympics. Hint. :p
