Whenever I try to connect to wormnet , the lobby appears and then a box opens up saying that the "chat sever connection" ran out or something along those lines. What do I need to do to play online?
I've just got the game and immediately downloaded the patches and beta update , why isn't it working?
UPDATE: Now , once I click on the sever (auto login or UK) the game stalls and I end up having to reset the computer! Help!
Do you ave a firewall? (ZoneAlarm is the most common culprit). If so, go in to the program control section of the firewall, and allow WA access to the internet manually. See here (http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp/wnguide-firewall.php) for ZoneAlarm configuration.

Ok so I'm able to get in now , but once Im in the lobby and connected with a host , before the game starts its says " connection has failed with the server" ?
When you say connected with a host, do you mean you're in the host-join screen, where you can see the map and teams and so forth?
If so then it's possible that the host is removing you from the game, which is why you're getting disconnected
(question for those who know: didn't there used to be a special "you've been booted" message? was that removed or is it still there?)

(question for those who know: didn't there used to be a special "you've been booted" message? was that removed or is it still there?)The way the game's network code is written or due to how the Windows implementation of TCP/IP works (we're unsure which), it seems to not be possible to send a packet and then terminate the connection, so that the other end reads the packet before processing the connection's termination. This is why in most cases, when one is booted, they will see the "connection terminated" message.
