Need a favour

Long story short: I don't have access to my PC (eBay product hasn't arrived), so I'm on my mac. I also have exams in a couple of weeks and a friend has emailed me their notes for a lecture I missed.

However, it is in .mdi format, which apparently can only be open/used by certain Microsoft applications, namely Microsoft Office Document Imaging, which comes with MS Office 2003.

Would anyone please be able to convert this to a suitable format for me? (eg. pdf, doc, png)

Well the thing arrived yesterday, I loaded the image and it was the wrong one (lectures had mislabelled them). She tried to scan in the right one but it wouldn't work, so she sent it by text instead. Problem solved...
