View Full Version : XML/TXT/OMG/Worms4doesntstart
I've been a cheeky monkey and I tried to tweak something that obviously wasn't a weapon, when I know I shouldn't have done, but the level I was stuck on was too hard, even WITH the weapon tweaks.
I moved it to the desktop to save it, moved it back, and tried Worms 4, but it doesn't run! It seems the problem is that the file (Tweak) is a TXT and the rest are XML, so how do I convert the TXT into an XML? I reverted it's default 'open with' thing (Internet Explorer) and it hasn't made any difference!

Just rename the file from Tweak.txt to Tweak.xml, meh....
I tried that and now it's called Tweak.xml and is still apparently a TXT.
Have you got file extentions enabled (I don't have a windows installation at hand, but I think it's tools --> folder options, then either the second from last or the last tab, and find "hide extentions for known file types" and untick that.)
I tried that and now it's called Tweak.xml and is still apparently a TXT.
Muzer's idea works, but an easier way is to open it again, click 'Save As', and call it ****.XML.
When I saved it as ****.XML I couldn't save it.
As for Muzer's idea, which 'tools' are you talking about. I searched the one in FireFox (for some reason  ) and didn't find an answer.
:/
In any Windows Explorer window (just in any folder)
Oh... right...
Yay, it works now!
Thanks, guys.
When I saved it as ****.XML I couldn't save it.
Err... you were supposed to replace the stars with whatever the name of the file should be (for example: weaptwk.XML). I can't remember the actual names of the files right now.
Oh right, lol.
Well, the problem is fixed, so it doesn't matter anymore :)
