Hi chaps,

Having real problems getting a newly patched W:A to work on Vista. Thought I'd detail the Errorlog.txt file in the hope that some wonderful fellow may be able to assist. I tried to attach it but at 111KB it exceeds the file limit for the forum.

I've installed the latest patch, and have tried to run it using both XP SP2, and 98 WE compatibility. I have also got the "Run as administrator" box ticked, as I know that's caused a few problems before.

If someone would like the whole log file to peruse please let me know and I'll happily e-mail it across.

The error message I receive is:

Worms Armageddon has encountered an error.
Detailed information about the error can be found in the Errorlog.txt file

The Errorlog.txt begins:

I was unable to post the whole error log as it was quite a beast! :p

Ive noticed that trying to read memory at 0 errors are often caused by windows loading while WA is, e.g. Vista's autorun dialog or the SoldOut Setup.now

Hi guys, it's a laptop with integrated graphics as far as I know.

Is there any advice you could give me to get it working, or am I another victim of the Intel graphics problem?

Failing W:A, will I have more joy with a different version of Worms? ie. Worms 2 or W:WP?

Thanks in advance :)

Read this article (http://worms2d.info/Emulating_Worms_Armageddon) with sub pages.

More? Not :) But WWP has quite interesting single player and some options yet unavailable in W:A when it comes to multi player.

What intergrated graphics chipset? If its a VIA, NVIDIA or ATI then you should be fine. Its Intel that are the troublemakers here.

I doubt they will work, since they use the same technology as WA.

Worms 2 has a slight possibility of working, I wouldn't count on it.

I didn't say they will work. But they can be emulated just like W:A. I'm for instance emulating WWP under Virtual PC to get 1024x768 resolution.

Hey steviebwoy you said that you ran it in compatibility mode for xp. But did you do that for all users. When you go to the compatibility tab there's a second place you can change compatibility. I have vista and worms didn't work until I did compatibility for all users in xp. Course, you might also want to update windows vista. I also have Nvidia which might solve the graphics problem.
