Hi all, just a quick question..... Is it possible to create a terrain .Bit file on an external program like photoshop or paint and import them into the game?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated

You can save it as a 2 color, black & white, *.bmp image; and then convert it using Annelid's BitMonkey (http://etho.wormsrenegade.com/programs/map/BIT_Monkey.zip).

That's quite redundant since colour maps are now supported for online play.
They look much nicer and give you more freedom in map creation since the increase in size.

They require much higher artistic skills though and also don't provide the meta data stored in .bit files.
Plus, .bit files are very oldschool. :)

PNGs do support the W:A-specific meta data, using custom PNG chunks.
