I believe there is an answer to people quiting at the end of the match. One solution is to make the losing points less than the quitting. Or get points from finishing the match. Have the quit count as a lost. If the sever fails both should take the hit. Having a good match once and a while and winning is worth taking a hit once and a while for sever failures.

Unless someone "Quits" by flicking the WLAN switch or sim0ply turning their console off. That counts as a dropped connection.

Yeah but I am saying we should take points away from both people or the one that dropped the connection. I know it isn't fair if you really did but that is the on;y way to crack down on the quiting. I know probably there will be no changes to the online but it might help in upcoming worms titles that are online.

there is NO WAY to determine who dropped the connection since there is NO central server. each player is there own server.

Exactly. Using which set of magical tools do you intend to track whose connection has dropped?

Edit: To clarify the point Franpa has made with his broken English, the WOW2 server is merely a matchmaking service. Once the game started, you're all directly connected and the server is no longer involved.

I think he's refering to the there, their and they're discrepency, an example of which is present in your post.

Their --> Belonging to them
They're --> They Are
There --> Anything else

Actually, I'd be willing to bet it's a combination of all the grammatical errors in his post. The most obvious being his lack of capitalisation where appropriate.

Of course, nobody's really giving out except for Old Man Squirmy. :D

Why don't we split this off into a "Squirminator2k's Grammatical Nitpickings" thread?

Is this correct? Does anyone here really know how the networking works? I haven't heard of anyone having port forwarding problems (and I didn't have to set that up when I played), and given that a wireless router is a necessity, I would expect them to be more prevalent in this game than in WA. I think it's more likely that there really is a centralized server in-game and that it is possible to determine who disconnected.

I'm quite confident one of the Teamsters has already confirmed otherwise.

several have said there is none.
