Most-played game that was never fully supported maybe.

Thats a little harsh. They did support it with free and paid DLC. An XBLA game is probably not going to get the same long lasting support that a full retail game did. I read your post about the Manhattan theme and though that sucks for you, it should not be confused with T17 not supporting their game. In fact, there is more Worms DLC than a lot of other XBLA games. I do think T17 should just release the map again and possibly give out for free since its taken so long, but I will not go as far as to say that they havent supported their game. As far as XBLA games, its one of the best.

Last I heard there were still several bugs in the game, serious ones that ruin the game (like using multiple weapons on a rope, etc).

Or did all those reported bugs/glitches get fixed in the last several months that I have refused to play the game because of them?

I fired it up a few weeks ago and didn't notice the game updating itself... hmm.

Bugs are in every game we play. I play worms all the time and dont have this issue. Sure the jerks online use these exploits but at some point its not viable to keep spending time on an old game (especially an XBLA game). The revenue is not the same for a full retail game. If you have spent any amount of time with the game, then you have gotten your moneys worth. With all the free stuff they have released and the enjoyment of the game when you play locally, with friends, and competitively, then the price makes up for its imperfections. You did not spend $60 for this game. Sure it would be nice to be bug free, but you cant expect a developer to continue full support on old projects a year later that only cost you $10. If you ever want to see a new game on XBLA or retail, then at some point you have to let the developers stop working on the old game and focus on the new.

However, I am not saying we should just let them off the hook for bugs and/or problems within their game. Things such as that should be addressed, but after a year (almost to the day) its time to let it go. Most of us here have more than gotten our $10 worth out of the game. You cant hold them to the same standard a retail disc game would be. That is the beauty of XBLA. Lower cost of entry, quicker development times, but a smaller and streamlined product.

I am satisfied with the product and look forward to more features and less bugs in the next version. We should support the developers of games we enjoy. If a bug/glitch is causing you heartache, then speak with your wallet. Don't buy the next game and tell them why. But to say they have not supported their game is just plain false.
