View Full Version : Why don't we have equal rope amounts?

The other night i was playing on wormnet. i played the same guy in several games and each time it was the same. i started with 3 ninja ropes. he definitively had infinite. he would use it like 15 time per turn and i got destroyed because of it (seeing as i only had 3 freaking ninja ropes!) My question is why? do you get infinite when you beat something, get all the medals, or something else? was it just a glitch? was it because i had hosted the game? i dont know. any answers would be greatly appreciated. (especially since i love the ninja rope, and having infinite would be a big plus)

In W:A you can re-shoot the rope as many times as you like and only use one rope. Could ha have been doing that?

no, unless by some miracle he also picked up like atleast 12 extra crates of ninja ropes. so, even if what you just said is the case, he used them every turn for many MANY turns. it really did pretty much have to be infinite.....
As long as you remain swinging and do not 'disconnect' from the rope, you can use it as many times as you like per go.
so, even if what you just said is the case, he used them every turn for many MANY turns.
When you say 'MANY' turns, you don't mean 'around 3', do you?
he can shoot the rope and it counts as one rope used. if he does NOT land and fires another one while still in the air then it does NOT count as using another rope.

i dunno... i like swinging,it looks like «spider-worm»:D
Sounds like this person was just a successful roper. As others have said, the trick is to deploy the rope, swing, let go (with A), and immediately deploy the rope again with A without touching the ground. This roping technique has been around for ages (though can't speak of games before Armageddon), and is vital for moving around the landscape.
I think it's the Firing Range 2 stage in Single Player > Training that is a layered cave, and this is a good place to get the hang of it.
I haven't seen anyone use excessive ropes (i.e. cheating) in the many months I've been playing the DS version, and--knock on wood--I hope it stays that way. Oh, and occasionally there will be a crate drop, and if it contains ropes it'll have three of them.
