When I start the game, it gets to the second screen where it says "loading", then it just exits. I used the version checking function and installed the latest patch. The game still crashes before I get to the menu.
I'm running Windows XP + SP2 with 2gb RAM, dual-core Athlon64 (but in 32bit mode), and Radeon Mobility 2600.
Here's my XOM.log:

I tried changing the resolution and refresh rate, and disabled sound and intro movie. It doesn't help. Any ideas?
BTW, when I installed the game and the patch, it asked me to reboot because it had installed some secret kernel driver for copy protection, or something like that. One time it hung while checking the DVD.
You guys should have put more time into making a game that runs, or at least gives useful error messages, instead of this copy protection stuff.
Thanks
