It looks like the girder was definitely to blame. See my replay for an example.

I think my second homing missile might've gone through the hole made by the first one, unless the girder does disappear for good when it's completely submerged.

nah, stuff stays there under water, you can exploit this in worms 2 really easy with the ninja rope... its a nice way to drown in it :P
