wa crashes

My friend has a problem that his wa crashes and asked me to find solution for it, so he says that:
the game crashes when he nearly see a map....after loading.
The same problem appears for singes and for wormnet.
He can't play at all.
It doesn't work even if he doesn't install any patches after installing.
Win XP , Nvidia 7600 GS. Other games work without any problems.
I thought that the newest wa patch has almost all solutions for almost all kind of problems.
But it seems that it is not a common problem.
Please help him. I never had any problems with the game but some peaple have sometimes :/

Define "crashes". If it creates an ERRORLOG.TXT file, compress and upload it here.

lol he said he couldn't find the file at all.
He tried searching "for files and folders" (in all local hard drives), and manually too.
We were comparing our files and in my case errorlog.txt was between DXMfc.dll and HSBRCiv.exe but the another file next to DXMfc.dll in his case was "gfxupdate" (wich I don't have at all lol )
And saying "crashes" I mean that wa closes itselfs suddently without any infos.

he most likely needs to update his game to the latest beta.

It doesn't metter if he runs the game with the newest patch or not.
It doesn't make any difference.

Aha. Sounds like a known issue. Try installing WormKit and running W:A with the attached WormKit module.
Also, please tell us where did your friend buy his W:A CD, and what's the publisher (any other company names on the CD/box other than Team17).

Should he add the attached file to main wa folder and just run w:a?
What's wormkit? the file?

Edit: and he says he didn't know anything about publisher.
He had to copy original cd because it was in very bad condition, and don't have it now and a box either.
It's english version, I think it's Team17's.
