What? Is it World War One all over again?
You may be pleased to know it has nothing to do with World War One. Trench Warfare is a scheme designed to be played defensively and tactically, and totally abuses the game's crate dropping algorithm to great effect!Crates will ONLY drop inside the two designated drop zones, so make sure you defend them well to prevent your opponents getting any weapons!
Sounds interesting.... Where can I get it?

Scheme (http://www.kieranmillar.com/wa/Trench%20Warfare.wsc)
Slightly different scheme designed for using skipwalking (http://www.kieranmillar.com/wa/Trench%20Warfare%20skipwalk.wsc)
So what do I do?
The map is designed for 3 or 4 teams and a maximum of 12 worms. You can easily use 5 or 6 players, but 2 teams is pointless.
Start by placing your worms in the dead ends indicated by the red arrows. You may place a worm in any dead end provided that it is not already occupied.
There are multiple ways to block your opponents from gaining access to the drop zones. You are given a few mines and petrol bombs, and of course you can always use the good old fashioned "stand in the way" tactic.
The petrol bombs and mines have been powered down considerably so they do little damage. The weapons in crates, however, are all capable of doing at least 60 points of damage. Also, all weapons found inside crates come with only 1 ammo.
But I can just set off a mine and walk away to avoid it? Aren't they a bit pointless?
This is true, which is why if everyone agrees to it, you could use a "gentleman's agreement" whereby if a player sets off a mine he must end his turn. He is also allowed to prod the mine out of the way if he can, as this will end his turn anyway.
Some muppet is dropping mines in/standing in the drop zones, and now crates won't fall!
Again, you could always agree to another rule whereby you won't purposefully block crates from falling, but make sure everyone agrees to it first.
Do you think this will this become really popular?
Nope. Not at all. I made it because I could. Have fun, or don't. Your choice.
