wormnet problem joing games on vista

Hi all, sorry but I'm back again with yet another issue. Hope some1 can please help. I can host games fine on wormnet, but when I join others games I get desynchronisation errors every time and drop out of the game.

Any1 know what could be the problem?. I am on vista home premium, I am running as administrator, I have UAC enabled, and I am patched to the latest beta. I am letting WA.exe though my firewall (std windows firewall) and I am not behind a router or company network at all.

So you have dial-up?

Make sure that your regional and time-zone settings are correct.

My friend has the same problem, when we play WWP on wormnet it all works well.
But when we try WA, he gets a desynchronisation error all the time, and disconnects. he has Vista Ultimate

Could anyone help why he has such a problem?

try disabling UAC?
don't install the game into Program Files?
possibly a issue with the new version not correctly choosing the correct version to play with when a client joins?

Do you both have the latest Beta update?

UAC is probably write protecting the worms folder, so that would prevent worms from saving the downloaded custom map and generally screw things up.
