Well since i'm the only one who doesn't mind the download type of worms, I've decided to try the CD version. I want to buy a special pack so I can get W2 W:A and WWP and it's $10 but I know shiping will cost a lot more so I'm wondering how much will it cost with shiping? another question would be: how long does it take to get herefrom the day it's ordered?

Go to https://secure.team17.com - The W2/WA/WWP pack costs US$36 including shipping. I'd imagine it would take a couple of weeks at most (if delivered by African Migratory Swallows, possibly slightly sooner if delivered by 747), but I would advise waiting until after October 10th to order, as the UK's mail "service" is currently on strike.

Thanks for the information, it doesn't sound as bad as I thought.

But what are the people on strike for?

Pay cuts, losing jobs and something to do with pensions.

Here are the details on when the situation should improve in case some sort of an agreement is reached: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=1000002&mediaId=51600692

Actually, you can buy a new or fairly new copy of Worms:Armageddon (or a pack with all three games) on eBay for a fairly cheap price, shipped from the US. I got my copy of W:A for $3.99 + $6.00 s&h, although you might not find copies quite as cheap as that these days.

One more question: Does W2 have anything that W:A or WWP doesn't have? I played the demo and it had nothing diffrent from W:A.

different style BnG and Roper games mainly... (the different Roper style is based around the different rope mechanics.)

It's less customizable.
You can have pretty much whatever settings you want in WA, so if it's tweaking you're after, that'll do fine. However, the only games I really play on WA are Forts and Hysterias, and the settings for these games can be made on W2. I find that if everything is possible, it's less interesting, less challenging. It takes the soul out of it. But that lats bit's just my opinion, no facts there.

Less players.
Compared to the "Golden days" back in it's prime, W2 is dead. That doesn't mean you won't be able to find a game, though. What a fascinating community we have.. If you like BnG or Roper, there are ladders for both of those with the hundred or so regulars looking for games through-out the day, though usually no more than ten in a room at once. There are always new guys trying to find games as well, though often they don't have the patience to sort out their router and firewall problems, which brings me to my next point.

More bugs.
Yeah, really. The online play feature is quite primitive, meaning you'll be lucky to connect to more than one opponent, even after configuring your firewall and router, which can be quite time-consuming at first. The in-game glitches though, are what gives the game it's character, seperating it from the other 2D worms games. Just look (http://computerhead.biz/forum/viewforum.php?f=20&sid=bfb53149990627d9df16de61ef83b8d3). This (http://computerhead.biz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212) and this (http://computerhead.biz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=323) are probably two of the more interesting examples.

Awesome roping.
We may not have "Big maps" (a plus as far as i'm concerned) but we still have Roping and Rope Racing. There's something about the W2 roping which makes it feel much faster than in the other games. The only description I have is that it feels as though the rope is made out of liqourice in WA, where is it's much lighter in W2. Though no-one has explained to me yet exactly how.

I think that covers the main points. W2 just has that "Je ne sais quoi". However great the other 2D games might sound technically, W2 has an honest, homely feel about it that keeps me there.

Thanks, and I remember something else from the 60Min. trial from the internet; there's a few more weapons in that game like the clusters that lock onto your target.

I'm thinking if I should just buy one game at a time right now or find a pack of them. I saw WWP on Ebay for $6.94 and that was the buy now price.

just buy the tripple pack at the Team17 Online Shop... and yes, you miss out on radiation in worms 2 but you get Homing Clusters and Homing Air Strikes.

Actually, although it has less overall features, the weapons in Worms 2 are more customizable. You can do ridiculous stuff like make the Holy Hand grenade as powerful as a handgun shot, or make a single handgun shot as powerful as the Holy Hand Grenade, or make grenades be affected by the wind or whatever.
