yeah the game works on my windows vista home basic laptop but there is no sound any ideas i have tried updating my sound card driver but there is no sound still. my sound card is conexant high definition audio.

I don`t think the game is in compact with a laptop , or at least that`s what I heard.

Some games simply aren't compatible with laptop architecture, and Worms 4: Mayhem is one of them.

Exactly what I meant.Blazor 1994 , if you have only a laptop , then you can`t
play Worms 4 Mayhem...Sorry.
