View Full Version : Anyone used kamikaze to their advantage?
I'm just thinking about an old weapon that I think is understated just because it kill one of your own worms. Well today I used it to help defeat a darksider. Has anyone else used it in a match to win or take advantage of a match?

As I understand it, back in the days of Worms 1 Kamikaze could be used to deposit a whole bridge's worth of worms into the drink.

i mainly use it during sudden death when i have two worms left and the opponent either has one worm left or two that are lined up

I've used it many times in previous Worms games. It's pretty evil to use it when each of you only have 1 worm left and you know you have no chance of killing their worm any other way (sudden death and your worm will drown first) but if I'm up for another round, I'll do it.
Kamikaze is good for when you outnumber the opponent, but they're too dug-in to kill by conventional means.

How much damage does it do to the opponent worm?
How much damage does it do to the opponent worm?
Just like the other martial arts, it only does 30 damage base.

Hah yeah, i normally just use it as a finishing touch if i have 2 worms left to finish the round off on.
However there was this one time, on a ranked game, where i was down to the last worm, and there was no conceivable way for to win, except by pushing his remaining worm (100 health) into the drink, and although he was near the water, he was on the other side of an insurmountable cliff
Kamikazi'ed through the cliff face, and smacked him near the drink, but alas he clipped something on the way down and survived
It has its uses, and its a fun thing to use regardless of the circumstance

I used it today. I had three worms left, and one only had 2 HP, so I figured it was either damage one worm and likely have mine killed in the next turn, or kamikaze him and hurt two worms. I don't really regret using kamikaze; it was effective enough. It also makes for an entertaining surrender.

Actually it does more. When I kamikazed into this worm, it hit him multiple times and caused 62 damage.

How much damage does it do to the opponent worm?
Minimal, but water deaths are sometimes viable.
And in the end game, they may only have about 20-odd health left.

Remember that bridge FMV from the first (playstation1) game?

Man, I just had the ultimate kamikaze ownage. The opponent had one worm left, I had three, and we were in sudden death. The water was literally touching my worm, but I noticed the enemy worm was right above mine. It was a good distance, but I had zero to lose, so I kamikazed, and got a direct hit! Totally awesome.
