How do you change worms on the website it said that you could could some one tell me if you can or cant and if you can tell me how to do it.

The DS version doesn't feature hats, but you can change the colour of your worms from the Customisation > Edit Team screen.

Well thanks but you know how in the old games you would just press TAB and it would switch to the worm you wanted to use thats what i want to know

Ah, Worm Select. I've not used it, so I don't think it's in the game.

Okay let me expain say that you have a worm right by your enemy worm and you couldnt hit him in time and then your turns over When you get controll of your worm agian its a different worm and you didint want this worm how do you rotate it to the worm of you choice if you can.
Yes the worm select that what i mean is it even in the game or are you just stuck with that worm

You've not mentioned whether you're using the DS or PSP version but, as the game design is the same, the following should be applicable to both.
Worm select is a utility available in certain versions of worms. It is not available in Worms: Open Warfare 2, as far as I'm aware.
I do miss that feature from the PC versions of Worms I have played. This game is still awesome on the DS even without that feature though.
I've personally always felt that Worm Select breaks much of the tactical play in the game. I much prefer to play without it.

I love the worm select utility because it gives you more options. I really hope they bring that tool back soon.

not if you want a slow darkside match. for that you either want worm select or strictly 1 worm per team. but not a lot of people play these.

I always think of it like this: If you don't like worm select then make all of your schemes without one. it's as simple as that;)

I do like Select Worm, although I'll happily live without it.
Worm select gives fairer games.
Really simple example - 2 worms near a barrel, and 2 worms on a cliff
Player 1 goes first: Moves away from barrel, shoots barrel giving opponent 50+ damage.
Player 2 next - no barrel to shoot, has to shoot the worm for at most 40-50 damage.
Player 1 has next turn - cliff worms - player 1 knocks the worm off the cliff.
player 2 - has to use another random worm..
See, with TURN SELECT, after player 1 shot the barrel, player 2 would then have a chance to even the odds by selecting the cliff worm and getting a kill - both players would have made a good opening move.
Without turn select, the player who goes first gets to abuse BOTH of the deathtraps, while the 2nd player has no chance.
Turn selector NEGATES WHO GOES FIRST and LUCK.
It will be sadly missed in this version of worms. From a fundamental play perspective, it made games fairer/closer.

Having worms placed near mines and barrles is just one o' dem things. It's part of the game, like the Blue Shell in Mario Kart. I much prefer Worm Select when it's a utility with limited uses, rather than a default state at the start of your turn.

Definitely limited use. Its as powerful as any weapon and should be treated as such.

Thats a VERY specific kind of example. I think we need to look at it in more general terms:
In Worms, as you start to lose you reduce the number of worms in your team. Once you only have one worm left you have an advantage over the player with a full team. Its one of the play mechanics that makes Worms work so well. Worm Select completely removed this stage of tactical play, allowing the enemy to simply choose the nearest worm to finish you off with.
In my opinion Worm Select breaks the end game.
In my opinion Worm Select broke the games that featured it completely. I always felt Worms was about overcoming the obstacles in your way, not bypassing them by repeatedly using a single worm.
The only good use for Worm Select is, as previously mentioned, negating bad worm placement. I think that issue is better resolved by allowing players to take turns placing their worms at the start of a round. I'm sure you could do it in a previous worms game.

I only remember playing with a very limited number of them though. Was 3 the default amount? They got used up pretty quick, and holding 1 back for late game was always a good tactical move.
Anyway, most of the online schemes i have seen so far dish out ropes and jet packs like its Christmas. You can pretty much get a worm anywhere you like on your turn, so that pretty much makes turn select obsolete....
I think a bigger issue in worms, is simply *who starts first* gets a huge advantage. You can almost gaurentee a first turn kill if you start. (and your best weapons have their clock reduced by 1 turn first - meaning you get to use them first.
Not really sure how to negate that, except that it would be nice if the 2nd player had their best weapons on a 1 turn shorter clock - to even it up.
Player 1 starts
player 2 gets their best weapons 1 turn earlier.
Its like the start or draw rule in magic the gathering. lol, don't flame me for saying that, it's just an example :)

On a more serious note, i don't like worm select, and i don't like worm placement much either.
Having the cards given AS IS, without any safety ropes, gives some interesting openings. Which is what i feel worms is about. If were going to allow players to place their worms, and select how each worm operates, why don't we all play on symmetrical maps, thus removing all randomness, and limiting the chaos that can prevail.

holding 1 back for late game was always a good tactical move.
Assuming you didn't get reduced to one worm before then. But I guess that's the gamble.
Ive played 20+ matches now (some medal just popped up) and I'm enjoying the randomness. Thats because I play for fun though, a *serious* player (if there is such a thing as a *serious* worms player) might find it frustrating, infuriating even, with the lack of either placement or worm select.
but like others have said, if you loose a worm or 2 early, the way the turns work, you can really fight back - watching the turn order, placing strategic girders to block areas, then 'port in and kill them between their rounds.
1 worm can take on 2 worms if you can split the 2 apart:
Split enemy with a girder, 'port in to the worm that just moved - attack.
A good player will keep his 2 worms together though, so he can always retaliate with 1 of them.
thats from my experience anyway.
Girder seems really really useful in this version of worms. Iv'e never used it so much before. never HAD to use it so much before.
am a total newbie to worms.. & have been able to figure out the majority of weapons till now except 'select worm'... cud any1 plz explain how to use it??

It's not in Worms Open Warfare 1 or 2, so you can't use it in those games.
In Worms Armageddon for PC, you select it in your inventory, push space to activate it and then push tab to cycle through your worms. Some schemes can also have it as an always on option, so you don't need to select it in your inventory, you just push tab. Again, this doesn't apply to Worms Open Warfare 1 or 2 since it's not an option.
