PSP Advantages:
1. Hats
2. Graphics
DS Advantages:
1. Two screens (taller play area)
2. Minigames w/ touch screen
3. Touch controls in-game (not required)
4. Hand-draw flags & maps
5. No "quit" option in the online menu
6. Larger userbase
7. Fewer quitters?

I thought you said you already owned both versions...?
PSP
Pros:
Higher quality graphics.
Hats, I suppose.
Single Player Time Attack missions.
Online rankings and Clan support.
The ability to zoom in and out of the map.
Better Flag Editor.
Higher quality FMV sequences.
The number of maps, flags and landscapes you can save is only limited by the capacity of your PSP Memory Stick Pro Duo.
Cons:
Built largely on the original Worms Open Warfare engine, with modified physics. It's an improvement, but it's still not perfect.
Online rankings are broken, according to many people who post here.
The crosshair is misaligned to the actual direction of the show.
Speechbank voice files are not used properly in accordance with previous Worms games. "Noo.wav" is used when a worm dies, for instance. (Well, it annoys me...)
Slight delay between when you press a button and an action commences. It's a very small delay but it's there.
The D-pad on the original PSP makes roping a real chore. I'm unable to check if this is also the case for the slimer redesigned PSP.
Online play seems markedly slower on the PSP version between turns.
DS
Pros:
Built largely on the Worms World Party game engine used in the Ngage version (which is itself a port of the PSone version) and so bears a stronger resemblence, in terms of the game engine, to Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party. (Source: http://www.radio-ninty.co.uk/podcasts/radioninty10.mp3)
Better map editor.
In place of the Time Attacks, the DS version has the Laboratory - a selection of games that require you to use the touchscreen or microphone with interesting results.
The ability to have an overview of the entire terrain at all times displayed on the top screen.
Speechbanks are used in accordance to WA standards.
Crosshair is properly alligned.
Cons:
Lower graphic quality.
No hats.
Due to limited space on the DS card, you can only save a limited number of teams, flags and landscapes.
Map editor only works with stylus, which is great for general drawing but no t so much for intricate pixelart.
Online Play relies on Nintendo's Friend Code system.
Lower-quality FMV video.

PSP
Pros:
...
Single Player Time Attack missions.
I heard some people talking about those... I was wondering where they were at! (I have the DS version...)
-edit-
The DS as a system has the ablility to do voice chat (as in Metroid), but Worms Open Warfare 2 doesn't have this feature, by the way.

I don't think I've mentioned voicechat. At all. In fact pressing CTRL+F and typing in "chat" on this thread only found your use of the word.
If you're trying to imply that WOW2 has voicechat on the PSP, you're sadly mistaken. It's a printing error.

DS:
voice chat
... This is where chat was mentioned. And there is NO voice chat on either version.

Online Play relies on Nintendo's Friend Code system, and does not support Rankings.
This isn't true. I have the DS version, and am ranked somewhere around 60. In fact, one of the multiplayer modes for the DS is a "Ranked Match". How did you miss it?

D'oh! My mistake. Fixed.
And he's going to buy the PSP version. Tch. His loss.
Ummmmmmm,no i said that is had A psp and a ds

In all i would recommend the DS version as the postives seem better, but the psp one is sweet as well apart from people quitting online matches.
i would reccomend the DS version too because i would just not like a game where people quit and you end up with no victory.

Awesome and very balanced breakdown, Squirminator2k.
You mind if I use it sometime if the topic comes up in another forum or something? I'll give you credit, of course.

Another PSP exclusive is animated health bars - Flames, Bubbles, Stripes and Stars. It's minor but it is a pro.
I prefer the PSP ranked mode over the DS ranked mode since the DS version forces you to use a random scheme. Full Wormage and Blowtorch only schemes are not fun or challenging. That being said, my Wormetti account seems to be broken on PSP (doesn't ever show up on any leaderboards) but the accounts I created after that work fine. Random/friend games are fine for me anyway, the leaderboards require too much time to get in the top 5.

It doesn't *have* to be random. Just select something that isn't "Any".
EDIT: Oh, wait, Ranked mode. Sorry. Carry on.

I'd recommend picking up the DS version as well at some point. Both are very good, but my preference is the DS edition.
I'm really beginning to think the ds version may be far superior the psp version has too many minor problems that can really grate. I've found another ; the wlan switch is very easy to turn off during an intense online battle.

I agree with Squirminator here. Sure, the PSP has better graphics, but I would describe it as "bulky"... I also prefer the DS version because I'm used to its Wi-Fi interface, and it's easier for me. Also, I don't know why you people worry about hats
its F***ing Asewome i got the PSP one :D:D:D

I think that his father went to the USA and came back with the game so now he has it...
Quite easy to decipher... unless I've got it wrong.
