View Full Version : Random crashes.
Hey guys. I've had WA for a while back now and suddenly decided to start playing it again. But now that I have Windows XP, random crashes have occurred without warning. It usually happens after I have completed a mission or anything like that. I have the lastest update and stuff, so im confused. If someone would tell me whats wrong and how to solve it, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks :]
Oh yes, It was a Sold-Out copy if that makes any difference.

Can you compress and upload an errorlog?
I don't know how to do that.. I'm kinda noob on PC's. If you could tell me then I'd gladly do it. :P
Sorry for wasting your time. =/
Thanks.

Open your W:A folder. Find the text file called "ERRORLOG". Compress it by right-clicking it and choosing the appropriate option (Send to... -> Compressed (zipped) Folder). Then find the newly-created ERRORLOG compressed folder, and attach it to your post in this forum (using the advanced reply form).
Hmm.. I've opened my WA folder inside the Team17 document and nothing inside that folder is called "ERRORLOG". This probably looks really nooby. =]

Which means that you most likely don't have the latest Beta version, contrary to your first post. Get it from here (http://wa.team17.com/main.html?page=supp&area=upda&file=15).
Okk, thanks. It works now, even though I thought I downloaded the patch earlier. But thanks anyway. I'll let you know if something happens. :)

Could you also upload CRASH.DMP as well, please?

That's a very odd crash. Is it possible that your RAM is faulty?
The CRASH.DMP you supplied doesn't correspond to ERRORLOG.TXT, so the above only applies to the crash which created CRASH.DMP.
Also, are you using OS emulation compatibility? It isn't necessary. The error log says you have Windows 98 SE.
