Because the code isn't written to support it, and there is no real need for it (for the moment). And, don't expect any 1999/2001 game to support IPv6.
We'll consider it for W:A 4.0.
it seems there is a workaround for unconfigurable NATs (like the ones of italian optic fiber isp fastweb) that allow you to have a public ip(v6). I'm informing to figure out how does this work, but it would allow ppl with such isp to host.

Well, unfortunately many ISPs (like mine) still don't support (and can't route) IPv6, so your game would be completely inaccessible for those users.
no, I read it works doing some stuff with 6to4/ipv6 incapsulation in ipv4 or wathever. it works, they say, no need of ipv6 infrastructure between the endpoints.
