So, after Matty's suggestion that we get back out on the streets and do stuff, how about compiling a list of things we can try?
One idea I've just had is that maybe we could "farm" a few threads: start them in OD, build up a few nice posts and then release them into the wild the relevant forum. Art threads for Fanart, Worm Story threads and the like for Online Orgy. It ensures threads get off to a solid start, although it means extra work for the Mods moving them about.
But yeah, a list.
* New Worm Story
* More fan art
* Just general showing up and helping out
* "What are you doing today, Luther?"
Anything else to add?

Excellent idea, Paul. We must ensure their survival in the wild by keeping them going, too.
I do HAVE a few things already in motion in the Fan-Art forum. It would help if more people participated in them. :p

I can see the threads being spammed with messages asking where the thread popped up from, and the odd one from Iguana saying we moved it from OD. Nice idea, but I doubt it will work out perfectly because we haven't confirmed that OD exists.

Well if we post one after the other on a short time scale people won't notice.

If the thread's moved tomorrow morning, then we could probably get away with it.
Paul - can you edit your first post now please, as it will look suspicious if I edit it ;) I can edit the title without people knowing, so don't worry about that.
I'm totally joining up. :p
Like I said, I think I'll work on getting my forum comic rolling again soon. That and I've been trying to be... friendlier around fan art. :p

I'm not much of an artist but I'll try to get something done.

That's the thing - I'm not a good artist by any means... So it's kind of hard for me to contribute to FanArt... I tried to do something different and played the wormsong on balalaika, but there's only so much I can do with that...
"What are you doing today, Luther?"
I like this one. I miss that...

Anyone object to me moving the story thread into Online Orgy now?

Probably an idea to delete Matty's two off-story posts as well.

Probably also an idea for Blinx to remove that message about worMatty being 'bossy' in the Worms Story thread.

I still say you would have done better having whole paragraphs instead, if you wanted it to be taken seriously. Now you'll have all the idiots contributing one-sentence attempts at bringing in marshmallows and themselves brandishing weapons.
I remember Voltaire's Worms stories on the old CMB.
Surely we can post as much in the story as we want? If we just want to make a short post, then we can; otherwise make a longer post.

Do you really think they have the ability to write a coherent paragraph?... Plus this makes it more of a community thing, more interspersed between persons.
One thing I hope they catch onto is to not end at the end of a sentence and end with something like "he wanted to use pigeons so that he could..."

So, SomePerson, I take it you want the cretins who can't write a coherent paragraph to post in it? More of a community thing, yes, if you prefer quantity over quality.

I don't mind a few cretins posting in it. It's not like the originals were cretin-free. The important part is that enough good posts are made in it to outweigh the cretinous ones.

Fair enough. If I were doing something like this I'd want it all to be taken seriously. I've had my fill of forum silliness over the years.

Or ignore the comment for the timebeing, have it removed and have Paul talk to the person and see if he needs to lay down some ground rules or a plot.
Seems that story has died on it's **** already.
It's ironic.
A worms forum and yet the most ontopic creative thing is ignored. It's b0llocks.
I actually lost interest in that story the second people started posting long paragraphs. One sentence is much easier to follow than a whole paragraph, especially if you're quickly reading in order to get a reply in before someone else does.
Plus, it's easier to think of one sentence that follows on than a whole paragraph.
I won't be participating in that story any more.
worMatty thought we should do paragraphs.
Not blaming him.
Just difference of opinion.

When did they start posting long paragraphs? Are we talking about the same thread?

No, thomas is talking about Worm Story history.
First WS was short bits of sentences. Worm Mad suggested paragraphs for WS2

See, it's like "lame duck", but with "dick". Goddamn I am clever.
Possibly multiple someones, no less. Multiple lame dicks, if you will. Ugh.
