View Full Version : Unreal Wormament
Just imagine, if someone could mix this games! Worms will be walking and shooting as in 3D shooters. And their opponents will be either other worms or people like in Unreal tournament... And weapons from this games could be mixed up...

Unreal Tournament is highly moddable.
You could fairly easily, with the help of a modeller, a programmer and a texturer, make Worms models and Worms weapons.
Maybe even some total conversion game mode, but that's a lot more work.
You could also wait for Unreal Tournament 3, and see how good the destructible things are, and whether it's possible to have a semi-destructible landscape. I suspect it's still only select objects, but that's more than in the Unreal 2 engine.

Google 'Quake 3 models' or 'Quake 3 skins' for some sites.
I think I'll just keep the file on there

Ah,yes,couldn't find any before but now I can. Thank you.
Two questions though:
1.How do you set up the models as bots?
2.How do you change into third-person? (If it's possible)
Isn't there a menu where you sellect which bots you want?

It is,but only the default characters is there,not the imported ones.

The model has to include bot support. Sorry, it's like this for all Q3 engine games. It's like this so people that want to include the behaviour of their model character can in the bot settings. Like Duke Nukem will always run n' gun.
If I remember correctly from Jedi Knight II, which was a quake 3 engine game, it was dead easy to simply copy the AI script from another character and tweak a few things. But I assume somewhere there must be different animations to the usual, if this is worm shaped? And I can't remember a thing about them.

What the hell, it would be fun. Take UT, replace players by worms, and replace all the weapons by bananas, bazookas, grenades, sheeps. :p

1.How do you set up the models as bots?
Extract pak0.pk3. That'll give you pretty much every game file there is.
Look around for the bot files, copy and paste one and edit them using Notepad.
There is some other stuff too, but I can't remember all the details.
Also, using /cg_thirdperson, you can't aim very well.

Aye,will try that.

I mostly wanted to use it to see how whole models look,but I see.

Ah that's easy. Simply look in the mirror on the first stage in Single Player mode.
