Ds Worm Select?

Is there actually no Worm select? Because often before the CPU Worm takes it's turn it looks like they're trying to decide whether to change Worm or not...but can't find anything in the manual

it's the AI thinking about moving, not about selecting a worm. And yes, there is no worm select.
