I updated first to 3.0.5.0_Beta_2
That wasn't necessary.

You have an integrated Intel graphics chipset, right?

Yes, it is true. Is it problem?

Intel graphics chipset drivers for Vista are currently incompatible with certain old technologies WA relies on to work (namely Direct Draw). The only things to do are:
1) Wait for WA 4.0, which will remove the need for Direct Draw
2) Bug Intel until they release a DD-compatible driver for Vista
3) Install XP or get a new computer

When will be WA 4.0?

Quite a long time, you're looking at a few years at the shortest.

I'm saying this without any knowledge of programming or the work required, but perhaps removing the need for Direct Draw in WA could be moved up in the priority list since more and more ppl wanting to play WA are installing Vista. I've been lucky enough not to have the least problem with Vista and WA...

That's like deciding to rebuild the foundation after the building has been built.

Hence 4.0.

Aha, I could see how that would be rather impractible.

Right Click on executable and go to properties... Set the compatibility to run as if was Windows XP... It works for me... =)

I have a problem with my computer also. I installed WA and the latest update (3.6.28.0) and when I run the game, it goes painfully slow. The mouse barely moves, and when I'm playing, it looks like it's in slow motion. I've uninstalled and reinstalled about a dozen times.

I have a AMD Athlon 62 x2 processor 4400+. 2.3 GHz, 2GB of RAM, so my computer has the minimum requirements. Any ideas?

Start off by reading the ReadMe.

Hint: check your Tweaks folder. There are some configuration tweaks that may help you.

Thank you very much!!!!! I had to do a bit of googling, but it paid off. My shoppa skills might be a bit rusty though.
