Greetings,

I've been getting a Fatal error report on Worms Armageddon, which causes the game to crash. It happens rather randomly, though it always seems to happen a while after I have the game on. The error states to check the errorlog.txt file. This is very annoying and doesn't let me play the game continuously.
I have had this problem in Worms Armageddon for the past week. This had never happened to me before.

Please, can I get some help? I have tried reinstalling worms, and while it worked for a bit, it stopped working after it. I believe it started happening after I installed the latest update.

I appreciate all assistance.

Note: You can get the errorlog.txt file on http://www.mediafire.com/?cm0xjgclzqz

The errorlog.txt file you supplied points to a crash while restoring the game after it was minimised in the front-end (menus). Minimization in the front-end is still considered unstable.

Do the crashes normally happen in-game (during actual gameplay), or the front-end (640x480 menus)?

Well I do minimize often, actually.

I am not sure if I had minimized or not, but I will try playing without doing that. I'll post here if the problem persists.

Update: It seems to be working now, thanks for the help.

Will there be an update that will make minimizing stable? Because that was one function I really loved :(

Hey Arawn, I remember you from Wormnet.
Yeah, I think it will become more improved and more stable as we progress the long and hard road of making W:A 32-bit.

From my experience, minimising in-game already is extremely stable.

The problem is in the frontend, so you should only be careful not to minimise for too long before starting a game, then do it at will once in one.

Well I was wrong... I didn't minimize it and it just happened... I don't understand why :\

I keep getting the error. Can't you just help me solve this?

Post a crash dump of a problem different than the first and I might try.

Your executable is corrupted.

This can be of several causes:

corrupted download - re-download the Beta installer, and check that the MD5 is correct
corrupted executable - your executable is broken (re-install the update), or you may have a virus infection
bad RAM - run some hardware RAM tests

The MD5 sum of WA.exe version 3.6.28.0 should be 8c871dab90a3ecf38bdf80e2f978f271.

noob and slightly unrelated question (since I'm not actually getting any corrupted download-relatd problems), but how do you check MD5sums?

QuickSFV (http://www.quicksfv.org/download.html) is a nice choice for inexperienced computer users. Command-line hackers usually use a port of the unix "md5sum" utility.

Hey, I didn't realise Linux had a built-in md5sum command.
