Will it run on Ubuntu?

I am thinking of switching from WinXP to Ubuntu

Because I heard it is faster. I don't really use my computer for anything other than web-browsing, downloading media, and WA is the only game I play.

There are obviously several issues with WA not being able to run on a couple OS's, or have many issues.


Simple question-Will Worms Armageddon run fine on Ubuntu?


EDIT:Will I have to use an emulator?

WA will probably be slower on ubuntu. Wine's implementation of directdraw is slow.

I tried to use WA on Linux too. (Exept mine is "openSUSE") I loaded WA but it showed only a black screen on 640x480.

Try http://madewokherd.nfshost.com/worms/unwain-linux.run. It should set up WA for Wine properly and make a shortcut in your Games menu.
