Sound bug in the new patch

I've been having problems with my sound since the new patch. I'm not sure what causes it but at one point the worms just aren't making any more sounds, or at least a whole lot less then they should.

Can you confirm by reverting to the previous beta?
How often does this happen - is there a pattern, or anything you think this may depend on?

this happens to me if i am minimized when a round finishes, during the next game there would be a 80% chance of the game crashing.

solution is to give the game focus near the end of a round but this may be a different issue to yours.

it happens every time i play the global worming scheme (see wa forum) on one of the maps. Maybe the large amount of worms?
