View Full Version : WormKit modules w/ New Beta
Great new patch guys, just had one my best games ever on a big fort!
I love the extract log feature from the replays, but don't see much of a point of logging lobby activity. Although it doesn't bother me anymore because I have the folder deleted on executing my batch (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showpost.php?p=551447&postcount=36) file. The crash dumps are a good idea tho.
Just a request for a possible update for all the wKit modules, the most important ones I used to use were:
ReplayShark, FileOverride, Magic Maps and AntiKeyboard Hook (although that's pretty much been made obsolete hasn't it?)

wkReplayShark may be updated for the new beta, wkMagic won't (as it was just an experiment anyway).
wkFileOverride and wkAntiKeyboardHook should still work.

Not for me; when I click it, it then stops in the "login" page and fixes the cursor to the centre of the screen. When I try to press the login, it highlights the text and the cursor moves back by itself. - Possibly 'cos I use Cyber's alternate server list.

I loved messin with wkmagic1. Is it just the exe that's incompatible, or is it one of the DLLs?
We've gotta persuade the maker of replayshark to release an update to it.
Also, I've noticed a few new wk modules have surfaced, including one in this thread, also one you gave to someone for debugging purposes. What does that other one do?

Assist in debugging.
WormKit modules aren't collectable, and not all are useful. WormKit, by itself, is simply something that makes it easy to write code that interacts with the game.
As for wkMagic, it only works for 3.6.26.5.
I mean, where does the 3.6.28 incompatibility come from? Is it a new exe, or new DLLs, or a combination? Because if it's just the exe, couldn't I copy a 3.6.26.5 exe to the folder, rename the 3.6.28 one, rename the 2.6.26.5 one to wa.exe, then run wormkit. Would that work?

Yes, but it's simpler to have the latest beta as WA.exe, and have WA-3.6.26.5.exe for WormKit, and make a shortcut that runs WormKit.exe WA-3.6.26.5.exe /nointro.

(I'm running on linux now which doesn't work with wk, but Ill try as soon as I get an excuse to start up XP)

But yeah, we should kindly ask G-Lite for an update on the Replay Shark (original thread is here (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=30331)) and possibly make/update a repository for all the wk... modules. I'd be happy to host it if needs be!

Ah, sorry I was confusing myself there. I did have CS's serverlist, but the new patch must have overwritten it with the original one??
After redownloading it, its back to normal, albeit over-strenuously having to click on the wormnet button :-/
