Hm, why did you set up forwarding to 4 different IPs? You only need to forward it to your LAN IP address. You can find it out by looking at your connection's properties or typing ipconfig in a command prompt - find the line starting with "IP Address . . ."

If the rest of the configuration will be correct, you can try hosting a game and using the website http://www.canyouseeme.org/ to check if the port 17011 is open. The website will attempt to connect to your external IP (it will autodetect it) and the specified port, to see if someone will "pick up" the connection request. If it fails, then you're not done with your router config - check firewall settings and whatever else may affect incoming connections.

30 Jun 2007, 12:57

Reason: Connection refused

CyberShadow
30 Jun 2007, 13:30
Then you didn't configure your router correctly. Did you set up forwarding to your LAN IP like I said?

Little Kid
30 Jun 2007, 19:15

you do know that 87.112.23.136 is not your LAN IP?

CyberShadow
1 Jul 2007, 02:13
He probably does... although I'm out of suggestions at the moment. It's hard to diagnose something like this.
You can try to ask the person/company who set up your Internet connection to configure this for you, or perhaps a computer-savvy friend?

Little Kid

you do know that 87.112.23.136 is not your LAN IP?

1 Jul 2007, 13:19
I know that whenever I disconnect my router from the internet and reconnect it, my external IP changes. When this happens, I have to look my WAN IP up again and change it in the config menu in worms. Otherwise I won't be able to host a game.

I thought the with the new update you wouldn't have to update the IP every time

Can you try to uncheck the 'Force IP' box and try to host without updateing your IP?

Little Kid
2 Jul 2007, 10:42
oh i can host on lan game but not online:( is there no way i can host???

Little Kid
2 Jul 2007, 10:48
is there any other ports that need to be fowarded to make worms work

Blitza`
2 Jul 2007, 10:52
Try 17010, 17011, 17012 and 6667. But i have a netgear router aswell, and it doesnt work for me either :/

Little Kid
2 Jul 2007, 14:09
ok ty ill give it ago

franpa
2 Jul 2007, 14:25
for routers only 17011 needs to be forwarded for worms armageddon, the rest just need to be allowed through the firewall/s. 17012 is for worms world party and needs to be forwarded if you play that game online too..

Little Kid
2 Jul 2007, 15:21
did not work any way

Blitza`
3 Jul 2007, 01:38
Just out of curiosity, which version of the netgear router do u have? WGR614v6 By any chance?

Etho
3 Jul 2007, 18:33
17012 is for worms world party and needs to be forwarded if you play that game online too..

Not true. You do not need to forward any ports to play W:A or WWP online. However, you do need to forward port 17011 to host games in WWP.

franpa
4 Jul 2007, 02:30
ah, you misinterpreted and/or i wrote it badly, i meant that if you play that game too then you would need to forward 17012 just like you did 17011 for W:A if you want the same results as what you would get in W:A.

is that er, written correctly?

Etho
4 Jul 2007, 05:30
No, I don't think so franpa. I think you just rephrased the incorrect information of your previous post. Worms World Party does not require the port 17012 to be open to successfully host a game. It requires port 17011 to be open. This is the same default port Worms Armageddon uses, although Worms Armageddon now supports the use of other ports too. And just like with Worms Armageddon, you do not need to open this port to join hosted games.

Little Kid

Little Kid

Little Kid
6 Jul 2007, 10:16

Blitza`
6 Jul 2007, 11:35
You only need port 17011 apparently. 80 is Html i think and u dont need 6667.

Little Kid

ok ty still cant host you no any other ports i can use

CyberShadow
6 Jul 2007, 11:41
You only need to forward port 17011 or whatever you specified in the game settings. Forwarding 80 and 6667 is unnecessary and unadvised. Only people using 3.6.28.0 (the latest Beta update) or newer will be able to join your games if you hosted on a port other than 17011.

Little Kid
6 Jul 2007, 11:44
OK some more info i have plus net Broadband and a netgear dg834gt router
and bit defender V10 internet security suite i have fowarded port 17011 and

6 Jul 2007, 13:13

Try the "Adress Reservation" funtion under the "Lan IP Setup" tab of your router. Add a Reservation, then forward your port(s) to the new IP adress. If the IP adress is the same then just re-forward the port(s).

If you lose connection to the internet then follow these steps..

1) Click start
2) Click Run
3) Type "cmd", then hit enter
4) In the black box, type "ipconfig/release"
5) Wait untill it is released (the IP should show 0.0.0.0 etc.)
6) Finally type "ipconfig/renew"

Then you should get back your internet connection.

IF ALL FAILS..

Then reset your router. :D

Little Kid

ok ive done that and still cant host

Wormetti
9 Jul 2007, 10:22
I have the same router and I can host if I have the port forwarded to the correct LAN IP.

It's probably Bit Defender V10 internet security suite at fault. Can you try without it? From that screenshot, it looks like Bit Defender is just showing ports that are listening but that doesn't mean that Bit Defender is allowing connection to them.

This should solve your problem.

Just find your Router model and follow the instructions given, basically just scroll down to the different sections, and find your router model...

Ok, you said your router model was the "Netgear dg834gt Router" correct?

Your router model is basically the same model as the dg834, which is listed in the second lot of instructions.

These routers all run around the same basic principal(s). So give it a shot and follow those instructions with your router.

He has tried that agent smith, that website only tells you how to configure and forward your ports. He knows how to do this, the problem is the port forwarding isnt working for him.
