so with lighting strike it basiclly acts like an air strike probaly, but is just one bolt coming down or are a whole bunch going to come down in the designated area?

no I think it is more of a utility... brings a worm back to life or converts the sentry.

I love the sounds of the lightning strike. It does exactly what an item that I suggested back when we were suggesting weapon ideas for Worms 4. I really wanted there to be some kind of advantage to drowning an enemy worm rather than just blasting him to death. This utility could really add some more strategy to the game.

Well of course you're going to want to sink 'em if you can. I'm saying that this utility gives you one more reason to do so.

If you've got a situation where your target worm will die if you shoot him with a shot gun, you might want to use a fire punch instead to get him into the water.

The magnet is a sweet idea too. I just hope it all works well in practice.

Yeah, they won't be able to resurrect water-deaths...unless they're shown by on of those life belts instead of a grave..?

Don't you mean a situation where the target worm WON'T die with the shotgun?

Even if it's possible, I don't think resurrecting a worm floating in the sea would be a terribly useful exercise anyway.

Zombies worms don't need oxygen but they do like the odd brain.

Can they swim?

I was thinking, that if the life-belts were struck, the zombie worm would be sitting on top of the ring, to stay out of the water

Hang on, worms sink like a stone. If you drowned a worm, it'd be impossible to strike them with lightning again because they're on the sea bed. You couldn't possibly hit them.

This lightning strike weapon sounds genius. I assume it won't cause much damage, but when you go to use it you'll have to carefully decide against converting the opponents sentry to your cause, recharging your defensive magnet for a few more turns, or reviving one of your dead worms, albeit with low health.

The worm revival sounds quite powerful, but I assume you'd have to try and revive one that's hidden away because they'll die when they get hit again.

Unless you can get everything in the same spot and do the whole lot. Imagine the havoc that would cause with rope knocking...

Wait... you can also use the lightning strike to convert enemy sentry guns? That's freaking awesome! I love it. And I also didn't know about the magnet re-charging. My understanding of this item was quite different than what seems to be the case. I thought the lightning strike would either revive all of your worms (that left a gravestone) with a small ammount of health OR only revive your worms whose gravestones are on the surface of the landscape (maybe the landscape would get in the way of a lightning bolt).

I really hope this game is as good as it's sounding.

But if they are hidden, the lightning can't hit them right?
Unless it can travel through slid ground:-/

The concepts of how these weapons work is so confusing. Just playing the game with solve everything. Let's hope it comes out soon.

I guess your worm can only be revived if his grave can be reached by the lightning (as in there's no ground above it).

This of course means that your worm will most likely be out in the open, so as soon as he is revived he will get shot and killed before his next turn, unless he is in some out of the way place.

I wonder if reviving a worm will be worth it...

You can gain a turn... so delay can be gone, or a crate can appear... That's if the zombie worm dies :)

Would be really cool if revived worms were like zombies. That way, if they revive next to an enemy worm who is still alive, they infect them, the same way a skunk gave worms permonia.
