Sorry guys if theres already an answer to this or whatever... I tried a search but no luck
Im on vista with a Raedon 9600 card, ive installed all the patches [i think]
Basically the problem is that if i try a quick match it works fine. But if i go on a training game the program simply closes down, and vista doesnt even report an error.
This seems a little strange
Compatibility options didn't seem to help
I'm going to try a deathmatch and see what happens. Its kinna annoying though cos I liked the missions.
So yeap. Seems a little weird though as in a quick match it runs perfectly.
Ideas?
Thanks =]
Edit: Deathmatch works fine
I'm not accusing you per se, but this problem does sound like one that is caused by using an illegal version of the game, if your version isn't legit then that's your problem, otherwise hopefully someone else can shed some light on the problem for you.

Yea its not an original I didnt mention it simply cos people wouldn't help me. But I do own a copy, it just became scratched beyond repair. I managed to copy a friends disk however. I wouldn't think that could be the problem though as it has worked before. I wouldn't pirate a game like WA.
I tried mounting it with Alcohol 120% and it came up with a whole load of disk read errors and stuff so i figure that would be it. Not surprising considering how long its been about on my desk.
I'll try some vaselene on it - usually does the job. Otherwise its eBay for me =]
So case closed for now :)

Heh, the vaseline trick has never worked for me.
Sounds like you have a scratched disk. That used to happen to me when i bought that battle pack set. The problem was that the CDs were stacked up on one CD holder and the WA disc ended up with a huge circular scratch right around the middle.
the original WA CDs do not have any major copy protection on them, so nothing like that should happen with a copied CD.
um vaseline on a disc? WTF ??? since when has that worked? just use a clean damp cloth and wipe it from the middle outwards.

That doesn't fix scratches. Vaseline certainly can't do any harm.

I reccomend "CD Hospital". They remove all scratches (as long as they are not too deep) for a reasonable fee, around £2.50. Just search them on google!

You might as well get another copy of WA for about the same price
