Koen, KoreanRedDragon and I decided to create a little wormy movie repository, so people don't need to dig deep through the forums and video pages anymore, only to find the movie they're interested in. Each of these is streamable via a flash player or downloadable as an .avi or .wmv. You can also drop a comment for the movie maker, if you like!
The URL: http://wormtube.worms2d.info (formerly wormtube.wyvsucks.org)
In case you have a video that's not listed there, make sure to send it to CyberShadow, so he can make an .flv of it and add it to the database! Anything that displays Worms Armageddon gameplay is allowed, be it a large compilation, a clan movie, or just a little clip. We want it!

I like, I like.
I will probably use RIVA Encoder to make them into FLV's myself though. Save time i guess.
Oh excellent idea. Excellent name for a website too :P

Just make sure to use the correct metadata then, so they get desplayed properly! (I'd guess you know how to do that, though, sooo, uhm... next posting please)
One question... with which program are these videos made?...
How did they convert the WAgame file to a video file??
Did they use something like gamecam or fraps??

There's an export video function in the context menu when you click on a replay... it actually creates a series of screenshots which can then be made into a video.
Oh cool.. it works^^
with which program they make a video out of these screenshots?

Love u ratti xD
Next step is to use CSS to force the cursor to stay the same when it rolls over, totally invisible without clicking or checking the source code.

Or without reading the link text at the bottom of the browser window. We don't want to exaggerate, now do we. ;)

how did you shoot the rope downwards in one of the videos? was that WWP footage or WA? can you shoot the rope downwards in WA? how?

You canot shot down in the normal versions of W:A
( I think it was WA)
You need a special patch for it.
And that patch you canot get officialy :)
There are private test builds of the game out there which allow that and a couple other funny things. The general opinion of most of the people whose opinion I value is that they'd do more bad than good if made public, and so they stay out of beta releases. But I'm sure someone will jump from behind a tree and tackle that opinion any minute now. En guarde!
Oh and WormTube is awesome, Wyv/Koen. If more people expressed interest by commenting on the movies, I'm sure I'd find it motivational and inspiring enough to finish writing the reviews in a reasonable amount of time. Hint hint!
Edit: And yes, I believe all the scenes in the movies uploaded to WT so far were made on WA.

oh that's interesting... does someone have that patch? and if so, are they willing to share it? if someone made it into a "patch" then they must have intended to share it with someone... why not make it public? it would be fun to play with offline :)
btw, i've commented on one or two of the movies :)

The "patch" had to be made so that more than the one person who implemented it could test it. And people who have been helping with that have been asked not to spread it, so they don't. Although I don't think anybody minds if they host WormNet games with it.
Fun offline, yes, but the version has its way of forcing online games to use its features even if the host isn't using it, which has the potential to anger people. I know I wouldn't like it if someone did it to games I host.
Thanks for the comments!

Hah, we want the full quality originals, not some lousy web-rips! You could upload them to for instance RapidShare and send the link to me and I'll do all the uploading/encoding so that it becomes playable on the website.

Those are alphas, and they are closed testing. Nope, cannot get them. And neither can I :p
EDIT: ooops... there was another page... D:
It would be more convenient if the movies were listing chronologically instead of alphabetically, so I could spot when there's been a new one

WormTube goes HD!
This feature will stream the high-quality video file (the same one accessible through the "Download" link). However, due to Flash restrictions, this is only possible for the H.264 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC) / MP4 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG-4_Part_14) codec/file format combination. Movie authors, use H.264 if you'd like your new movies to appear in HD on WormTube! (You may use another container for H.264, e.g. Matroska (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matroska) or M4V (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_Video), and I'll remux it for you.) Similarly, if you still have the master (raw) from your movie, you could re-encode it for HD support - let me know.
As for existing movies, only a few movies qualify for HD (among which, notably, OutofOrder's Movie of Earth, Fire, Air and Water (http://wormtube.worms2d.info/?id=65). Adding HD quality to other movies would mean either reencoding the full versions (which would mean quality loss due to the reencode), or hosting two high-quality versions of videos, nearly doubling the required disk space - neither of these are worth the small commodity of watching the high-quality versions in your web browser.
