Wouldn't it be more prudent just to get a different host?
I have a coupon for a year of free hosting elsewhere and still haven't used it, and I would be willing to transfer it to you in order to keep Dream17 alive; talk to me if you're interested.

No... I've just had enough. To be hoenst I've seen Dream17 as something of a chore now for the past year and a half. Time to let it slip into the darkness, I think.

All right. Well, it was fun while it lasted, I suppose.

Don't worry, it's actually just an April Fools.

Most people traditionally stop their April Fool's jokes at midday. It's now 12:26pm. I wish I could say it was a trick. I really do.
Ben, give me all the files; everything. I want.

You (or Adam) still should try and get a big pile of money from Heart.

I... can't tell whether this is a joke or not.
that's the annoying thing about this day- if someone is being serious- you can't really tell.

Guys, it's now 4:10pm.
Unfortunately I'm not in a position to send anyone the files right now. I backed them all up onto a DVD which is currently in transit via surface mail to my Dad's place in Los Angeles. I won't have access to them again for about three or four months (surface mail is slow, but cheap).

As I only got up at about 4pm, I missed everything anyway :p
(Well not totally after staying up until 6am).
Plus the 12pm rule is ridiculous. It's "April Fool's Day", not "April Fool's Half Day" or "April Fool's 12 hours".
...But the time when the thing on dream17 was posted is 11:36
Anyway, isn't that last bit a quote from the last episode of the first "new" series of Dr. Who?

What a shame. It's terrible when the smaller users get squezed out by the big corporations.

Yep - I don't go for that "midday cutoff" malarky. We did that last year and it didn't have the same impact. For an April Fool to have the right hit it has to bend the rules a little, I think. It also helps if it's grounded in fact.

The fact that you said "Most people" instead of "I" gave that away!

Hush!
Back into hiding until the year 2009.

I'll be sorry to--actually you know what, I don't care. If I had AmigaOS I'd want the free downloads, but I don't, and I don't remember there being much else there that was worthwhile to me. Maybe Team17-related news, but I can get that from other places.
