View Full Version : Regarding TeamED
I have followed this tutorial located here (http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp/tpp-teamed.php), but it still will not work. I open teamED, I try to open/import my w:a team file (.wgt) and it reports an error, 'path error 76' and closes out of teamED. My teamED is v1.03, and I have the latest updated for w:a. Any help?
Seems like the registry info about your installation path is messed up. Reinstalling should help.
To make it easier, backup the whole WA install directory, reinstall the game, copy over the backup and you'll have the game properly patched again and the registry fixed.
I copied my whole install dir, uninstalled game, deleted the original w:a dir, deleted remaining registry files from w:a, and I double-clicked the Setup button on the CD (I have autorun disabled) and the splash screen saying 'preparing to install w:a' comes up, stays for about 30seconds, then is taken off and nothing happens.

Out from the frying pan into the fire... :-/
This could be the problem:

...I disabled DMA and nothing changed...
I've never had TeamED work for me because I use the AutoInstaller that removes the registries needed by TeamED.
I can still create a new team file using it though but just cant re-open them - no great loss really
Hey I've gotten over teamED, but since I uninstalled w:a wouldn't reinstall for anything. This topic can be closed now. =/
I don't think there's much use in closing old topics, knkn.

I'm not sure about your problem with W:A not reinstalling but I had that exact same error with TeamED. You are running 2000/XP/Vista, right? It seems the registry entries are a little different.
Click start, go to Run, type in regedit. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Team17SoftwareLTD\Worms Armageddon. For Path, change "C:\MicroProse\Worms Armageddon" (or similar) to "C:\\MicroProse\\Worms Armageddon". This change fixed my "Run-time error 76. Path not found."
For the W:A not reinstalling problem, I would suggest you just copy your entire W:A directory back to the default location and run it. It should work fine as the game itself doesn't need the registry entries as it creates them on first run.
Good luck and I hope this helps people.
