View Full Version : Host just quit in a Ranked Match, I got a loss...cheers...
Was playing a 4 player ranked match, I just needed one more turn to win the game...the host quit, and I got a loss. Would be fine if it weren't for the fact that due to some **** bug, my perfect record has been ruined. I was on 44 wins and no losses, one might say I'm rather ****ed off about this. Is there any way to correct this or what?

44 wins and no losses? What's your gamertag, so I can stay away from you? ;)
Scandalicius...
Seeing as my first post was typed in a bit of a hissy-fit, I'll now write a more comprehendable post.
Was playing a 4 player ranked match (still have the 3 other names if they're needed). We were nearing the end of the game, two of the players had already been taken out, I had 2 worms left with a total of about 100 hp, my remaining opponent had a 10 and 5 hp worm. I'm pretty confident I would've won the game but it's not at all about the win, I'd just like to have the loss scraped from my record as I never did lose a ranked match. I quite enjoyed trying to maintain a perfect record, it added some extra excitement to every game as any mistake could've cost me my record. Now I don't mind getting a loss if I actually did lose (deserved or not), but I still had half of my worms left so a loss seems undeserved.
If any staff member or other wormer could point me to a solution that'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

And are you certain that it wasn't a connection fault on your console?
Otherwise, I'm sure Team17 will look into it; they're still working out a few online bugs.
Yeah, I'm sure mate. Got LAN internet here, it's always up and running. Hope someone from Team17 will actually reply...

No matter what Team 17 do or do not do, be sure to leave poor feedback for the jerk to quit on you.

Might not have been his fault.....
I was hosting a four player game this morning.... I was down to my last worm and was about to plant some dynamite between two other worms belonging to another player....
I got an on screen message saying that another of the players had quit... then a message came up saying i had disconnected from the game...
I'm sure that as i was so close to dying completely the remaiing guys would have though it was my fault... and lo and behold... my XBL reputation took a hit.
Theres no way I would quit a game on purpose. I detest people doing it to me, so I don't do it to others, yet now my rep has suffered.
What's your screenname? I'll put in a positive feedback to even it out. :P

XBL name's the same as my posting name here...... cheers Scanda
I've resorted to hosting 2 player XBL games... I don't seem to have a problem there

i lost my record of 8 played 8 wins due to host quitting yet the game never even started. You should host every game like i do now.

I know exactly how you feel Nolan. Same thing happened to me earlier today, 3 teams left sudden death...all 3 players up on the top of the map as the water level was rising. It was sure to be a draw then all of a sudden the game ended out of nowhere (I was hosting). I'm almost sure I will get negative feedback for that. :(
I've been on Live for close to a year with no problems but just from playing Worms for the last 3 days I've gotten so much negative feedback and I didn't even do anything wrong. However, if reputation only causes certain players to not get matched up with me and doesn't cause any suspension or penalty on my account then I don't really care.

I was hosting a four player much and about half-way through it just froze. I waited for five minutes and nothing happened. So i had 2 turn the xbox off. Not even the guide would work. Seems odd, how long the certification process took and from the outset there are problems with it. I guess tho it is hard 2 thoroughly test online play. Great game still.
It is a possibility this happened 2 the host of your game. Or he's a sore loser lol. Either way it sucks u got a lose on ur record..
