Majors site says no release tomorrow due to tomorrows game being delayed.
Follow me.. (http://www.majornelson.com/archive/2007/02/20/xbox-live-arcade-for-the-week-of-2-19.aspx)
In his post he links to this (http://soapbox.msn.com/video.aspx?vid=7953c8b2-d928-4b21-b629-c713228de438), hidden in a question mark, which clearly shows worms was for tomorrow.
Problem now is worms may not get release for months due other titles waiting in line.
I thought tomorrow's title was Alien Hominid..?
Ok, this week's game was delayed, why not bump the whole the schedule up a week then. XBLA really needs some kinks worked out. How can they not have a back-up plan for when things like this happens? (And I don't mean patches for broken games as a back-up plan.)

I would image it's a lot harder to move a schedule forward then delay it, specially if next weeks game is not ready. Backup plans might work nice in theory, but I would image a developer would not be to happy if their game was considered a "backup" and they had no idea when it would be released.
That being said, it surprises me retail games can have a release date in stone months before it is released, but XBLA is having a hard time doing this.

Unless you're Valve, that is.

what? they had a release date. they were a year late, but they had one.

Please don't speculate like this, it's neither accurate or useful to others reading.
Worms never had a Feb 21 "slot" btw. As I've repeated, we can't have a date until we are fully certified. There has been a few dates we've been given assuming cert was ok, but those have lapsed. I'm sure that once we're good to go, we'll be out soon after.
The good thing about Wii VC is that there are no release dates, so there's no dissapointment like this, no hype so people are disappointed when they realise the game is just average, and when your favourite NES game comes out it comes as a pleasant surprise that Friday/Monday (depending on where you live).
Plus, so far there's been a minimum of about two titles per week, and we never have had just one. Most weeks we get more than that.

Well yes, eventually the game had a release date. But it wasn't exactly set on stone months before the release date. More like, set on one of those dirt stones that crumble with the slightlest pressure.
Damnit Valve, I should be playing TF2 by now!

To be fair, the VC releases are usually direct, ports and have no integration with the Wii front end or online/multiplayer support. Thats a lot easier to control.

They have it ready, they just want to build suspense and drama for Sweeps week!
Some are saying that MS didn't want Worms competing with Crackdown. I find that hard to believe, but I'm glad at least Crackdown came out because it's taken my mind off of Worms.

No worms this week, again.

Well, I'm disappointed only because Worms is my most wanted announced XBLA title right now. However, Alien Homminid looks like a game that I'll like and will probably buy. I loved side scrollers back in the day.

You really need to make a sticky about how there's no release date planned yet! It would stop a lot of topics like this one being repeatedly made.

Indeed all those people bragging about the Wii VC, i'd pick XBLA any day. There is no online(yet?) for Wii VC and so there is no added value comparing to the old console. Being able to play these old titles in multiplayer is what it's all about for me..

like the one on the main news page?

Yeah, except put it in the Worms360 forum too.
Because not a lot of newbies read the news section.

It's just that, on Major Nelson's lil rss feed it was saying that it was highly possible that a ton of these games, including Worms, would be available this month. It's just upsetting to see that only 2-3 of these games he listed made it this month.
At any rate, I'm still excited for Worms.
