View Full Version : Cannot determine PC model
Well, all that is marked on the exterior is MESH MATRIX XP, and there are several versions of that and I don't know which one it is. Both dxdiag and System Properties cannot determine the model. I am asking this because I am thinking of upgrading my RAM to 1gb so I can run vista better but don't know which type to get!
EDIT: There's nothing marked on the interior either.
Not even written somewhere on the motherboard itself? How about the driver disc?

Is it first hand? If so, do you have the delivery note?
I have a Mesh Matrix M3400...
It's irrelevant what brand your computer is. You just need to buy the right RAM chips.
Just disassemble your current RAM chip(s) and take them with you.
So I'll have to do "real" shopping instead of online shopping.

Or just check what type of ram you have and order the same type OH SNAP I'M A GENIUS.
And, since I have two slots for RAM, could I rather than take out my current RAM and replace it with a 1gb RAM, could I instead purchase 512 MB RAM to put in the other slot? Or does it not work like that?

It works, you can place either one 1Gig or two 512Mb chips
If your motherboard supports "dual channel" I suggest you ditch your current RAM module and buy a kit with 2 identical 512MB modules.
This should tell you what type of ram you have.

And why have I got a link to bonz' user profile on my navigation bar?
