View Full Version : WA noob questions
Bonjour everyone. Picked up worms armageddon today so me and my housemates can get ourselves a tournament on the go. If any team 17 fok are knocking about on here; (belated) thanks for another top game!
Now, here comes the noob question:
My mate suggested I get this version of Worms (I'd originally been playing WWP) because of the different modes you could have, including one where you start off with very few weapons and earn more as the game went on. How exactly do you get this mode?
Also, I've been reading about some very interesting sounding game modes, sheep racing, shopping, blah blah. How would I go about playing those gametypes?
Any help much appreciated :)
Those are called "schemes", and WWP has just as many schemes as WA does.
Anyway, you can download them from most fansites, BlameThePixel (http://www.blamethepixel.com) probably being the most comprehensive of them all. For a slightly less overwhelming list of schemes, try the league site First Blood (http://www.laene.nl/fb/index.php?p=schemes), and for a description of some of the schemes used online, there's a few listed at the bottom of wahelp (http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp)'s front page.
Aaah I see. Cheers buddy.

just some more links for you.
Spot on guys, I gets it now. I was a bit confused since my mate said this game mode let you have the super weapons after so many rounds, and I couldn't work out how to do that in the options. Found a scheme editor on t'internet though, so it's all good.
Cheers!
The mode your describing is either the Team17 scheme (that's the name it recieves) or just giving the team the weapons and adding a delay to them so there aviable as the game goes.
Although all these options are already in WWP so I dunno what your mate is on about. Either way it's a positive thing you got WA because I'm sure you'll enjoy it more if you pretend to be a long term user.
Actually, your friend was most likely talking about the scheme called Clockworm Orange. Awesome scheme name. I never much cared for the scheme itself, though.

Edit: Was hoping Run would come by. You had an actual scheme file on Nanacide at one point, didn't you? I say we get a few people interested and remake that scheme from scratch someday. *Fires up Etho's new Eddy.*

Could do with updating really, since external editors can give a greater variety of delays. If I recall correctly the "ideal" clockworm orange had one newly available weapon per turn.
