I installed W4M and patched. Now, when I play W4 it is just way too fast!! The fire in the main menu is glowing really fastly. How to fix this?

Maybe I misunderstood, but if my english isn't too bad, patching a game = updating it.

I had that problem with a Splinter Cell Demo once... which was funny, since I was moving like a lightning, and I got to the other side, with EVERYONE knowing I was there :(
Anyways, I know this is possible to happen, so, there must be an answer...

Anyway, to the original poster, do you have up-to-date graphics card drivers and an up-to-date version of DirectX
This might be the fast menu bug from WA/WWP having a relapase :p

I kind of have a similar problem and maybe there is someone here, who can help me. For me it goes like this:
After I play for a while (~ 1 hour), the time starts to go away very fast for my turn. Those 45 seconds go away at least three times faster than normal. This doesn't happen for my opponents, but they can see it happening to me (I am speaking about playing over the internet).
If I want to have it back I have to reboot my machine - and this isn't so nice when I am playing with others over the internet. On the other hand, after this happens I may as well not play anymore, because I don't really have a chance against them.

What are your specs?
To find them:
Go to start->run->dxdiag->OK, then what we need is the operating system, RAM (Memory), maybe processor, then goto Display, then get the video card information.
I am not at home, so I can't do what you've asked me for, but I pretty much know my configuration:
OS: xp pro
RAM: 1GB DDR2
CPU: Athlon 64 X2 3800+
Video: geforce 7600 GS 256 MB
For the graphics card:
1) Do you have the latest drivers?
2) It's not on the list of supported cards, do you have any idea when it came out? If it came out before Worms 4 Mayhem it's unsupported because it's not in the list of suypported cards.

2. I don't know when the card came out, but I bought it two weeks ago, it is a current graphic card. so I think it must have come out after worms4...
On the other hand, why should the graphic card be responsible for the time acceleration?

there are half a dozen ways that it can be the graphics card's fault. for example, the game may rely on the graphics card to report the frame rate to time the animations. or the game might try to lock the frame rate at 60Hz, but the card is rendering it at full speed, not responding to a lock. finally, you can use the graphics hardware to do some of the math that you use for animation. that is less likely to cause problems, but it still might.
of course, the way i would code it would be by using a time step i get from the windows' timer, which would make it nearly impossible for graphics hardware to interfere, and i don't see why t17 would code it any other way, but t17 codes a lot of things not the way i'd expect, so who knows?
