MAJOR DirectX Problem

Hey guys, could you help me? I was trying to play Gmod10, but it says I need the latest DirectX. I checked in DxDiag, and it says I have version "8.1". I checked in steam and it says I have version 6!

I tried installing DirectX 9.0 and 9.0c, but they both say they're already installed! Please help me.

Hmm, find a way to uninstall DirectX and then install it again.

Go inside your pc and if anything is loose or wobbly (quite often the video card) push it in tight. This works. Seriously.

Fixed the problem. A simple regedit did the trick. I've been playing Gmod!
