Favorite Movies Ever.

Well, I have been getting into the habit of buying Movies recently, in the last couple of months I have purchased: Kung Fu Hustle, Fight Club, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Hero, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Jarhead, and Garden State(by Zach Braff, the dude that plays JD on Scrubs... great movie, really).

And, well, I'm running out of titles to buy(I still have to buy Akira and Lucky Number Slevin, and perhaps some random Jackie Chan movies for the heck of it :P), so it would be nice if you people could post some of your favorites, perhaps I'll find something I haven't seen around that is worth buying.

If you like Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind (and I bet you will), I suggest you get the other movies made by director Michael Gondry and writer Charlie Kaufman namely:

Human Nature
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Being John Malkovich
Adaptation

Agreed with Lex, Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli have yet to disappoint me (hence the avatar).

Studio Ghibli makes fantastic films, two other films in the anime genre that are really good are, Voices from a distant star (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0370754/) and The Place Promised in Our Early Days (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381348/). (Though the real title Beyond the Clouds is better...)

Same creator, though the first one is only about 25 minutes and was made by Makoto Shinkai alone and took a few years. Which makes it cool by default even before you see it :p

Akira was really cool, but I only found it in English which was painfull. You gotta love that style of portraing the future...

The Castle and Galaxy Quest are high on my list.
Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) is wonderful. I highly recommend Shaolin Soccer if you haven't seen it already.

Actually it's my FAVORITE MOVIE EVER, but it's just not on sale anywhere, I'll have to order it online someday, when I move into other country that has a reliable postal service.

Bad Taste - one of Peter Jackson's hilarious gory movies.
Milk & Money - bizarre and hilarious romantic comedy starring Calista Flockhart.
Frenzy - one of Alfred Hitchcock's movies, I love its dark humour.
