is it possible to read user files from D:\.... eg. D:\speech, D:\Savedlevels. etc.
I have lots of space taken up by maps and sound banks and it would be more benifical for my to get it off my comp and read from my drive.

Your probobaly not supposed to bump but if anyone could help me soon that'd be swell. it would be a nice birthday present.......
Anyone know any registry altering trick for this one (if there is one)? that would be best bet:p
I think if you unpacked your WA exe, you could edit the directory path strings with a hex editor.

Im not sure wether it works or not but I think you could do this if you had example 8GB flashdrive. Install the game on the flashdrive and then put the user folder there, I think it should then read the files from the flashdrive.
I might be wrong though

If the partition W:A is installed to is formatted in the NTFS 5.0 or later file system, you can create an NTFS junction point (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS_junction_point#Space_saving) which points to folders on another drive.

Take your time and read up on it.
There are links at the bottom of that article with various programs/extensions to create junction points.
Don't regard my advice as anything useful unless you're insane. I'm sure you're not insane. Listen to CyberShadow. He has good ideas.
