View Full Version : WWP Windowed
Also posted this in technical, 'cos its relevant there too. Does anyone know a way of getting WWP to run windowed?
I need to use chat/web regularly throughout the day, but if it could run windowed, then I could play WWP too!!!
thanks in advance, t
No. Due to the way WWP is set up, it is impossible to run it windowed with the Windows operating system (I said that because it is possible if you do it through linux).
If you buy Worms Armageddon for only £4.99 seeing as you live in england, it is practically the same game, but updates are still being released for it, so the person who is doing it has added the option to minimise the game, to do the things you want, and in the future, even window it.
Sweet! I'll definitely try to get hold of it. Thank you Muzer for the clear summary of what the situation is... I have heard that WWP featured no new graphics compared to the older one, but I didn't realise quite how similar they were. Damn T17. But I'm such a big fan of Worms 1 & Worms mobile (even tho the latter of those is crap :)) that I don't care...
Normally I use D3DWindower which in the past has allowed me to play every old Direct3D or DirectX game that I own in a window in XP, but I wasn't able to hit the right settings to get WWP working, maybe because of the funny way it opens two windows when it runs.
I hope people are still playing it online, I can't wait to get my earth-tunnelling ass kicked over the net.

You're right, though, that it doesn't work with WA or WWP due to the way their frontends work. WA is getting work done on it, though, so it'll hopefully have a windowed mode soon. Well, it can minimise already, so you can do other things while playing it. :)

Can I point out that you could pick up W2 + WA for the PC for £4.99?
No. You can't.
(Just joking, I'm!)
Go ahead.
